C.A.D.D.E.™ Hybrid Power Technology

From Intermittent Wind to Continuous Power

Traditional wind farms only generate energy when the wind is blowing, creating gaps in output that limit revenue and reliability. Kutnink Holdings solves this problem by transforming a standard wind farm into a fully stabilized hybrid power plant.
Our system integrates:

Each component works together to maintain power output even when wind conditions drop below the required threshold.

What Is C.A.D.D.E.™?

C.A.D.D.E.™ is a proprietary technology developed to keep wind turbines generating power during low-wind and no-wind conditions.

Here’s how it works:

  • Compressed air is stored in ground-level tanks
  • Air is fed into a compressed-air drive motor (Ingersoll Rand)
  • A clutch assembly connects the air motor to the turbine drive shaft
  • Turbine and C.A.D.D.E.™ are automatically engaged/disengaged through the turbine’s PLC
  • The entire system is controlled by a microgrid for efficiency and stability

Key Advantages

Continuous Power

Keeps turbines producing during low wind conditions.

Serviceable

Uses proven industrial air-drive components with a 25-year service history.

Scalable

Can retrofit existing turbines or integrate into new hybrid farms.

Here’s how it works:

  • Compressed air is stored in ground-level tanks
  • Air is fed into a compressed-air drive motor (Ingersoll Rand), mounted behind the turbine gearbox
  • An electric clutch assembly connects the air motor to the turbine drive shaft

  • The entire system is controlled by a microgrid for efficiency and stability

Key Advantages

  • Continuous Power: Keeps turbines producing during wind lulls
  • Serviceable: Uses proven industrial air-drive components with a 25-year service history
  • Scalable: Can retrofit existing turbines or integrate into new hybrid farms

C.A.D.D.E.™ is the missing link between intermittent and reliable renewable energy.

How the Hybrid System Generates Power

Wind & Solar Produce Primary Energy

Wind turbines and solar panels supply most of the power to the data center and battery system.

1

Battery Storage Stabilizes Short-Term Fluctuation

During high-production hours, excess power is stored in battery banks for later use.

2

C.A.D.D.E.™ Activates During Low Wind

When wind speeds fall below optimal power-generating levels, the PLC activates the C.A.D.D.E.™ air-drive motor to maintain output.

3

Microgrid Balances It All

Teco-Westinghouse controls ensure the plant operates efficiently, shifting between sources depending on conditions.

4

Continuous Green Power

Combined, these systems allow the plant to deliver up to 640 MW of consistent, nearly 95%-uptime green power to large power users and the ERCOT grid.

5

Performance Benefits

Hybrid will turn wind assets into a new class of dependable power plants:

  • Up to 70% higher revenue vs. traditional wind-only sites
  • Significantly lower downtime
  • Predictable supply for large-scale power purchase agreements
  • Capability to sell into ERCOT during peak demand or emergency events
  • Increased project lifetime value and stability

This is renewable power redefined.
